Moonlight Barn
Camera: NIKON D200 F-Stop: 4 Shutter: 15 sec Focal Length: 26 mm
Sometimes I will stay up late enough during a full moon to find some interesting scenes.  What is difficult about finding moonscapes is you have to have an idea of what you want to shoot and scout it during the day.  Star charts also help determine what path the moon is going to make and how high it is going to be on it's path.  You can then determine where the light is going to fall.

This barn was on the North side of Rt. 9 near Mackinaw, IL and was near enough to my home and I passed in on a regular basis.  I waited for a full moon and headed out.  This exposure was 15 seconds at F4.  Even that was a bit dark before prcessing the photo for brightness.  I could have taken a longer exposure, but had to wait until another full moon.  Unfortunately, this barn was razed before I had another chance.
